Checking server status…
📚 Introduction
Welcome to A Realm Recrafted!
This is a small Minecraft survival server we put together as a place to play, build, and share our datapacks from Modrinth with others.
It’s meant to be a friendly, relaxed space - no big goals, just enjoying the game together.
Minecraft Java can be a bit unpredictable at times, so things might not always be perfect here either. That said, we do our best to fix issues when they come up and improve things based on your feedback.
You can check out our datapacks on Modrinth, and if you want to chat, ask questions, or just hang out, feel free to join our Discord server.
🌍 Getting Started
When you join for the first time, you’ll be able to choose one of our ten races as well as a class - each with its own perks and quirks. Don’t worry too much about your choice though, you can always change it later through the pause menu if you have enough experience levels.
After that, you’re free to start your adventure. You can stick around the Spawn Island for a bit to explore and pick up some tips about server specific features, or head out right away.
To leave the island, you can either swim or use the RTP function from the Quick Action Menu (default key: G).
The Quick Action Menu is where you’ll find most of the important features, like setting a home, enabling HUD additions, and using said RTP. If you ever need help, check the pause menu for more information, or just ask in chat. Even if no one is online, messages are still seen through our linked Discord channel.
🌲 Outer Wilds
Every dimension has a permanent area around its center. Everything beyond it belongs to the Outer Wilds, where chunks are reset to fresh terrain on a regular schedule. That makes it the perfect place to gather resources, find fresh structures and loot, or explore untouched terrain - but anything you build or leave behind out there will be gone after the next reset. The web map shows the permanent area and when the next reset happens.
| Dimension | Permanent Area (X and Z) | Edge of the World (X and Z) |
|---|---|---|
| Overworld | -6,000 to 6,000 | -18,000 to 18,000 |
| The Nether | -5,000 to 5,000 | -10,000 to 10,000 |
| The End | -2,500 to 2,500 | none |
| Deep Blue | -1,500 to 1,500 | -3,000 to 3,000 |
You'll always know when you've left the permanent area: a short message appears above your hotbar, and a pulsing red icon of a crossed-out house shows up in the top left corner of your screen for as long as you stay in the Outer Wilds. So build your home inside the permanent area, and treat the Outer Wilds as a place to visit. Beyond the edge of the world you can't go any further.
🛡️ Land Claims
Protect your home with a claim. Type /claim mode (or open the menu with /claim) to get the claim tool, then right-click two opposite corners of your land. Everything in between, from bedrock to the sky, is protected. Right-click a corner of your claim to move it, and sneak + right-click to open the claim menu. Use /claim mode again to put the tool away.
Each claimed block costs one claim block. You start with some and earn more just by playing, and you can buy more in the market's Server shop (or with Buy claim blocks in the claim menu). You can only claim land inside the permanent area, since the Outer Wilds get reset.
In the claim menu you can:
- add friends as members, each with a role: Visitor (doors and buttons), Containers (also chests, animals and villagers), Builder (also building) or Co-owner (also managing the claim)
- choose what everyone else may do, like opening doors, PvP, explosions or fire
- give your claim a name and a colour, which shows on its border and on the web map
- make subclaims, smaller areas inside your claim with their own members, like a shop or a friend's house
🛒 Market
Trade with everyone, even when they're offline. Type /market to open the market menu:
- Server shop: what the server itself sells, like claim blocks, pets and other extras. Some offers are only around for a while or limited per player.
- Player listings: browse what players are selling, with each item's icon and tooltip (enchantments and all), search by item or seller, and sort by price or newest. Click an item to see it and buy as many as you want.
- Sell anything from your inventory: pick the item, how many (more than a stack is fine) and the price per item. Everything is paid in the server's currency, one item for the whole market.
- My listings shows what you're selling. Take a listing back whenever you like.
- Mailbox holds your earnings, items that didn't fit in your inventory, and items that didn't sell in time. Collect them whenever you're ready; you're told when something sold and when there's mail waiting.
What's for sale right now, from the server and from players, is also on the server's info page, and your own listings show on your SMP profile on the website.
🐾 Pets
Pets are floating heads that follow you around. They're just for looks, with no effects, and everyone near you sees yours. Get one in the Server shop of /market, or in the pet shop with /pets. Pets are paid in the same currency as the market, some are free, and some are only sold for a while or in limited numbers. Once you have a pet, it's yours for good.
Type /pets to see your pets and take one out or put it away, or use /pets on and /pets off to do it quickly. There you also choose:
- Moves: how your pet moves. It can float by your shoulder, circle your head, bounce, trail behind you, doze by your feet, dart around you, and more.
- Particles: a little trail, like wisps, hearts, notes, flames, snow or cherry petals.
Both count for whichever pet you have out.
ℹ️ Merl
Meet Merl, our in-game helper! Just type /merl and ask her anything: how to get a boss key, where the closest cherry grove is, whether keep inventory is on, or what you can craft with what's in your pockets. She knows our wiki, the Minecraft Wiki and the server's settings, so you get answers right away, and only you see them. Ask her to take you somewhere and she'll walk ahead of you with her map (she even grabs an elytra if you fly). She can also find your bed, your grave, your claims or the nearest waypoint, set reminders, and cheer when you hit big milestones. And if you just want to chat, she has over 2,000 jokes and a cat named Peanut Butter.
📜 Rules & Guidelines
We don’t have a long list of strict rules, but a few basics still apply - cheating and consistently rude behavior won’t be tolerated here.
Other than that, just be respectful, use common sense, and enjoy your time on the server.
If any issues come up with another player or an admin, we handle things by talking them through and finding a solution together.
